These words may have been written nearly two hundred years ago but even so, 

they speak of something that has great relevance also in our time. 

We seem to be standing in the receiving end of an endlessly over-flowing source of information. 

Information about the state of the world we live in, a world that is frantically and in every 

possible way trying to tell us it is time to change the course, steer towards another future. 

The ocean of choices and decisions and distractions leave us planlessly drifting the waves.

Our minds and our skies too clouded by pollution to be guided by the stars. 

The idle bystanders hopelessly watch the other ones squabble about which compass to use. 

No one bothers with checking which way the wind blows. 

It is high time to jump into the waters and swim away from this sinking ship. 

For how can we be lost when we are already home?
